September 22, 2011 · Posted in Overseas Contracting Outlook
Here are the results from our third annual State of the Overseas Contracting Industry Survey. This year 1,263 people took the survey, which is about 100 more than last year. I will be releasing the Advice from Contractors section a bit later after I have finished editing it.

Very cool! Boy, those are some interesting statistics. The Facebook one is really interesting. I am doing more and more work for promoting the blog on FB, and that place has been great for networking and getting feedback from the industry.
One thing for next year's survey should be to ask what smart phone or tablet do they use, and how much use does it get compared to their laptop. Because I have seen a dramatic increase in the use of mobile devices to read my blog.
I personally use mobile devices a lot for the job as well. Primarily to check emails and get news reports. But Facebook is on mobile as well, and lots of guys are using mobile devices in very interesting and useful ways out on contracts. Thanks for sponsoring the survey. -matt
Matt,
How are you seeing contractors use Facebook to find jobs?
Can you describe the interesting and useful ways guys are using tablets and smart phones in contracting?
What is your blog?
